Narinkul Turpanov

Honored Doer of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic Born in 1944. He graduated from the Kyrgyz State Art School named S.A. Chuykov in 1972. He is a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR and the Kyrgyz Republic since 1980. He has been actively involved in international, All-Union and Republican exhibitions since 1972. In 2000, Turpanov N. was awarded the title “Honored Doer of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic”. In 2009, he was the laureate of the G.Atiyev Prize. He was awarded the diploma “Participant of EXPO-2005” for the highly artistic demonstration of the Kyrgyz national art. His works are exhibited in the Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), the Museum of the Peoples of the East (Moscow), the Kyrgyz State Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aytiev, as well as in galleries, private collections and museums abroad. He participated in international exhibitions: – Young Artists of Kyrgyzstan (Czechoslovakia, 1987); Young Artists of Kyrgyzstan (Portugal, 1989); International Exhibition of Soc. countries (Moscow, 1989); World Expo 2005 (Japan, 2005); “Istanbul through the eyes of Kyrgyz artists” (Turkey2010); Artists of Kyrgyzstan (Moscow, 1989). The artist is also a participant of republican and all-Union exhibitions: All-Union exhibition “The Youth of the Country” (Moscow, 1978); exhibition of the republics of Central Asia and Kazakhstan (Tashkent, 1988); “Russia through the eyes of Kyrgyz artists” (Bishkek, 2005); international exhibition “Art of the Silk Road” (Bishkek, 2002). In 1995 there was organized a personal exhibition, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the artist’s creative activity in Bishkek.
