She was born in 1962 in Çamlıhemşin, Rize. She completed her primary and secondry education in Ankara. She graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Vocational Education, Branch of Painting of the Department of Applied Arts Education in 1984. She received her certificate of proficiency in art from Selcuk University, Social Sciences Institute in 1992. She worked as an assistant professor and head of the Painting Department in Faculty of Education at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University between the years 2002 and 2011.

She was appointed as an associate professor to the Graphic Design Department at Gazi University in 2011.

She is currently head of the Department of Graphic Design at Gazi University. She has held many individual exhibitions and participated in many inter/national group exhibitions. She is a member of the associations of Gesam and Turksav.
