Eser Keçeci

She was born in Nicosia-Cyprus in 1980. During her primary and secondary education in Nicosia she took piano lessons and attended the exams of the Royal School of Music and received certificates of achievement. After graduating from Turkish Maarif College, she started her undergraduate education in 1997 at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Ceramics and Glass. Achieving the best grades of the department, she became the valedictorian of the department in 2001 and at the same time completed her undergraduate education as the third top student of the faculty. In the same year, she started her master’s degree education at the Department of Ceramic, and completed her thesis titled “Installation as language of expression in formation of thought with ceramic applications”. After completing her thesis studies in 2003, she went to England and took private courses at EF International Language Schools as well as taking private courses on language and Drama and Art History. In 2004, she returned to Cyprus and started to work as a part-time lecturer at the Near East University, Faculty of Performing Arts and Faculty of Architecture. Between 2006-11,s he worked as a full time lecturer for the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Plastic Arts. In 2011, she started her doctoral program at the Faculty of Communication and was appointed as a lecturer at the Department of Visual Communication and Design.
