Gökhan Okur was born in 1969 in Ankara. After graduating from the Restoration Department of Trakya University, Edirne Technical Sciences Vocational School, he entered the Graphics Department of the Fine Arts Faculty of Hacettepe University. Between the years 1998-2006 he worked as a researcher and lecturer in the Graphics Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Hacettepe University, in which he under graduated in 1995. He gained his masters degree in 1998 and went on to complete his qualification programs in art in 2010. He has continued his academic studies as a lecturer at the Near East University, Fine Arts and Design Faculty, Graphic Design Department since 2006.
