Mehmet Ali Acar

Born in Balıkesir on September 20, 1945, Mehmet Ali Acar improved his career in photography, printing and journalism after graduating from high school. He was fluent in English and Greek. He began working as a photojournalist in the Bozkurt newspaper in 1967 and continued to work here until 1974. In 1974, he served as the editor-in-chief of Zaman (Time) newspaper and served until 1979. Then, Mehmet Ali Acar, who worked as the director of the Yeni Zaman (New Time) newspaper, started to work at the department of photography of the State Information Department in 1985. Acar was married and had 3 children and 5 grandchildren. He died on 17 July 2017 at the age of 72.
