Momunbek Akmatkulov

He was born in Frunze on April 24, 1952. – In 1971, he graduated from Frunze School of Art. – Between the years 1972-1978, he studied at Moscow V.İ. Surikov Art Academy, and Korolev’s art studio. – Between the years 1978 -1995,he made more than a number of mosaics, stained glass, paintings and designs as monumental works. – Between the years 1982-1992 he was the director of the City Art School. – Since 1986, he has been a member of Kyrgyz Republic Painters Union. – From 1992 to 1996, he taught at Bishkek Academy of Paintings. – In 1984, he was awarded the diploma of the USSR Academy of Painters for his work “Southern Women”. – In honor of the 40th anniversary of the Victory of the Great Patriotic War in 1985, he was awarded the Honarary Award of Volgograd City for his artwork “Bridal Stone” made of Florence Mosaic. – In 1990, he was elected as a member of the Presidents’ Council of Kyrgyzstan Union of Painters. – In 1979, he participated in domestic and international exhibitions. – In 1991, he opened Galeri-M Private Art Gallery in Bishkek. – In 1999, he organized exhibitions in Istanbul and Ankara. – In 2007, Mayor of the city of Memphis, Tom Marshall, presented the diploma and the key to the city for the series “Structure of the Voice”. – Since 2012 he is a member of UNESCO + AIAP International Art Association. – He has four children.
