Sabir Çopuroglu

Copuroglu was born on August 18, 1956 in Borcali Bashgecit (Dmanisi) town of Georgia. He studied at A. Azimzade School of Painting in Baku and at the Academy of Painting in Georgia. During the years of 1985-1990, he was a student at the workshop of Folk Artist Merab Berdzeneşvili and Zurab Sereteli. He participated in national and international exhibitions. In 1988, he became a member of the USSR Union of Painters. In 2006, he achieved success in the 2nd International Symposium in Germany. In 2007, he received the 1st place and a first degree diploma among 32 representatives from 16 states in a personal oil painting exhibition held in Germany. He has organized a solo exhibition called “Khojaly Massacre” at the Istiklal Museum in Baku in 2007. He actively participated in the oil and natural gas exhibition in Aktau, Kazakhstan.
