Volodymir Chornabay

He was born on March 17 in 1954 In 1973, he graduated from the Lviv Ivan Trush State School of Applied Arts. In 1980, he graduated from Lviv State Institute of Applied Decorative Arts. Since 1989, he has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and the Polish Union of Artists (2009). He is an Honored Artist of Ukraine since 2016 The artist has received numerous awards: Diploma of the laureate of the exhibition “Christmas Mystery 96”, Lutsk (1996); Golden Award of the First Modern Art Exhibition Competition, Ternopil (1996); IIIrd prize of the All-Ukrainian “Three Dimensions: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”exhibition, Lviv (1998); winner of the regional Mikhail Boichuk Art Award (2002); silver medal “Labor omnia vincit”, Poznan, Poland (2009); Kalish City President’s Award, Poland (2015); diploma of the International Art Exhibition “Lviv Autumn Salon-High Castle 2015”. The artist has held numerous solo exhibitions: more than 70 in Ukraine; Poland and Germany; Ternopil, Lviv; Lutsk; Ivano-Frankivsk; Kiev; Kalish; Pabianitsy; Goluhov; Tarnobrzheg (Poland); Hamm, Schwedt, Oder, Berlin (Germany). He is also the participant of more than 90 national exhibitions in Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, France. The works of the artist take place in 30 collections of museums and galleries in Ukraine (art museums of Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Sevastopol, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lutsk), Poland (museums of Kalisz, Goluhov, Maydanka, Pabianits, Opatowka), Slovakia (Bardeev), Germany (Gustav Lubka Museum in Hamm).
