Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts Sculpture Contest Application Terms For Turkic World Artists

Theme: The sculpture view design which will be located at the entrance of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.

The Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, which was founded on 09 August 2018 and has a 20,000 m2 closed area, has made a great progress in all its aspects since its establishment.

There has been considerable progress in the systematic acquisition of works of art and in the physical development of the museum. Today, the museum consists of more than 6000 works of art of the  Turkic world artists.

In the architectural project of the museum sent to you, it is envisaged to include a statue reflecting the entire Turkic World at the entrance of the museum.

For the sketch of this statue, it was decided to hold a sketch contest to take into account the recommendations of the artists of all the Turkic speaking countries. In this respect, we wish you to prepare a 30×40 sketch of the sculpture that will be erected in the entrance of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts until August 1, 2019 and send it to the address below.

Sketches made by the artists will be evaluated by an international team of 30 artists. This international delegation will shortlist 30 sketches among the applications. These 30 artworks will be included in the collection of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts and will be exhibited in the museum permanently.

Afterwards, 30 shortlisted sketches will be presented to the entire World in order to be voted through the website of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts and the top-rated sketch will be awarded  $ 10,000 (Ten thousand US dollars). A sculpture (bronze, stone or granite) will be made in line with the top-rated sketch and be placed at the entrance of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, representing the common values of the Turkic world.

In this process, 30 artists, who have made the sketches, will hereby be introduced to the world.
