Juma Aman Durdi was born in 1946 in Kepele village of Red Arvat city of Turkmenistan. In 1967, he graduated from S. Rustaveli State Fine Arts College of Turkmenistan. Since 1975, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 1988, the artist opened solo exhibitions in Pyongyang (China), and in 1999, in Turkmenistan. Since 1971, he has participated in many national and international exhibitions. In 1989, he was awarded the first prize in the UN contest dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Human Rights Declaration.

The artist’s works take place in the private collections in Syria, France, USA, UK, Turkey, Australia and in the Eastern Fine Arts Museum.
