Oktay Öksüzoğlu

Oktay Öksüzoğlu was born in Vadili in 1941. He worked as translator for Republic of Cyprus Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. He studied journalism in London. He worked in various positions in Press and Information Office and became the director of this Office. He is the founder and the first chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Artists’ Association. He has exhibited his oil paintings in Turkey and abroad. His writings and research studies were published in Halkın Sesi (Voice of Public) and Zaman (Time) newspapers. In 1990, he retired from his position as the Press and Information Office Director.
