Timotei Batrinu was born in April 12th 1944 in Balaureshti village. In 1962 was admitted to National College of Fine Arts “A. Plamadeala”, but in 1962 was enlisted in army. During the years of military service he has been practicing for three years at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tbilisi (Georgia). He then returned to Chisinau, where he graduated from the college in 1969. Within a year, he founded the School of Fine Arts for Children from Hincesti. In 1978 he became a member of the Moldovan Artists Union. During the years he has exhibited his work at numerous personal exhibitions in the country and abroad.
