Greek Soprano Vassia Alati and Pianist Çağıl Cansu Şanlıdağ and Cypriot Artist Göral Özkan visited Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts

Located opposite Car Museum on Near East University Campus, Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts is shown a lot of interest by tourists and recently it has been visited by Turkish Cypriot Artist Göral Özkan; Greek Soprano who came to the island to give a concert, Vassia Alati; Turkish Pianist Çağıl Cansu Şanlıdağ and her musicologist husband Xavier Falgues.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Vice Rector of Near East University Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, General Coordinator of Near East University Görkem Bulunç and Academic Member of NEU Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Assist Prof Dr. Mustafa Hastürk accompanied the above mentioned visitors and informed them regarding the pieces displayed at the museum.

Ressam Göral Özkan: "Each piece displayed at the museum is of unique value…"
Turkish Cypriot Artist Göral Özkan, whose works of art are also displayed at the museum, made a statement regarding the museum environment and everything displayed and pointed out that he was rather excited and impressed. He also expressed how pleased he was to see a collection of works of art created by Turkic artists.

In addition to the above, Göral Özkan added that the idea of Modern Art Museum was a splendid idea realised by Near East University and also added that this was always expected from Founding Rector of Near East University Suat İ. Günsel as he was always foresighted. Furthermore, he emphasised that each piece displayed at the museum was of unique value.

They added that they were highly impressed and pleased to see a collection of pieces created by artists from different Turkic countries. They also pointed out how they noticed that each piece was carefully and meticulously chosen and everyone was sure to find an appealing piece displayed at this museum.
