Works of Graphic Arts Have Unmatched Features...
In his opening remarks, NEU Vice Rector Professor Sadıkoğlu underlined the crucial role of art in adding color and vividness to social life and stated that 35 artworks that created by the two talented Uzbek artists would be donated to Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.

Touching upon that the names of awards determined within the framework of the Alasya Awards given by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts were from today's Uzbekistan, Professor Sadıkoğlu talked about Al Burini and Mimar Sinan.

"In 998 AD, two fellows, one of whom was 25 years old and the other was 18 and who were living in a region which encompasses modern-day western Uzbekistan, and northern Turkmenistan mailed each other. In his letter, Al Burni; famous mathematician, physicist, astronomer, psychologist , ethnographist, anthropologist, historian, and geographer, directed the question " Is there another solar system with life on it in the stellar system or are we alone?" to Ibn Sina (Avicenna), a world genius and one of the most significant physicians, astronomers, thinkers who made great contributions to psychology, social sciences, mathematics, music theory and medicine. Ibn Sina replied that there was no certain answer for that question. The work of art and culture created by people living in Uzbekistan and in other Central Asian lands have been given as a gift to the world and contributed greatly to the development of art" noted he.

Expressing that the two painter brothers lived in different regions of Uzbekistan, Professor Sadıkoğlu underlined that their graphic art works were unique and took a worthy place in the collection of the art museums of many countries across the world. They paint unmatched artworks by using special colors and paints. They develop new techniques and provide great contributions to the art of painting.
