The exhibition of 12 artists from Turkey consisting of 25 artworks, the exhibition of 6 Uzbekistan artists consisting of 25 works and the solo exhibition of Kazakh artist Kazym Amankossov consisting of 17 artworks were opened by the Minister of Labor and Social Security Dr. Faiz Sucuoğlu.

According to the information provided by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, the opening of three separate exhibitions at the Exhibition Halls of the Atatürk Culture and Congress Center of the Near East University were attended by the Minister of Labor and Social Security Dr. Faiz Sucuoğlu, Turkey's Nicosia Embassy Representative Kadir Akçeşme, vice rectors, faculty members, artists and invited guests.

At the opening of the exhibition, Vice Rector of Near East University Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, Uzbekistan Artist Sardar Allabergenov on behalf of the Uzbek artists, Halil Yavuz Ertürk on behalf of the Turkish artists, and the Labor and Social Security Minister Dr. Faiz Sucuoğlu made a speech.

Professor Dr. Şanlıdağ: “Studies in Education, Health, Science and Arts are Continuing...."
The opening speech of the exhibition was made by the Vice Rector of the Near East University, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ who emphasized that Near East University has aimed to be enlisted among the top 500 universities of the world in education, science, health, innovation and art and becoming a global information center, competing with the world's universities.

An effort is made to prepare our children for the future in the best way…
Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ stating that the children have been provided with the opportunities to take one-to-one courses from professors and academicians at the aboratories, research centers, museums, art workshops, of the Özel Günsel Children's University, said that they have also met with the world-famous scientists and that they expanded the horizons of children.

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said within the scope of this mission, they have brought the children together with the French professor Mossadek who is the head of a research project titled "Fun World of the Subatomic Particles" which is a part of the world's largest projects, and with Dr. Azhari Ahmad who is the pannel member of the Nobel Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) held in 2007, who gave a conference on the "Unknowns Regarding Climate Change ”.

Academic and Innovative Studies Continue with Advanced Infrastructure…
Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ speaking about the single health concept consisting of human, environmental and animal health, said that they serve to humanity with 20 Faculties, 6 Institutes, 33 Research and application centers, 104 research and application laboratories, 370 research projects adopted in the last three years and that they have reached over 1200 publications on academic and innovative works published in the international publications.

He said that within the scope of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art Project, 82 exhibitions have been opened on campus in the last 9 months and at the moment 9 exhibitions are held on campus for the art lovers. Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said with opening of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts on November 15, 2020, which will be opened in the Near East University Museum District 7 other museums will also meet with the art lovers.

Speaking on behalf of the artists of Uzbekistan, Allabergenov Sardor said that they were worried when they were invited to Northern Cyprus, but after seeing the atmosphere full of creativity and friends, they felt comfort and happiness. Stating that new people and new impressions give them a serious power, Sardor said, " You can see this power in our works. We thank you for your support and this beautiful organization."

Expressed his happiness to take part in the project of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts...
Halil Yavuz Erturk, speaking on behalf of artists of Turkey, said "We have enjoyed visiting beautiful Cyprus for 15 days within the scope of the project initiated on the basis of vision of the Founding Rector Dr. Suat İrfan Günsel. We have produced our work with the energy that we have received here. We are pleased and proud to be involved in and contribute to this great project."

Minister Sucuoğlu: “Near East University Breaks the Chain of Embargo with Culture and Arts…”
Minister of Labor and Social Security Faiz Sucuoğlu said that after 1974, the Turkish Cypriot people had established a Republic, but could not break the embargoes, and that the embargo chain could be broken with the art works initiated by the Near East University standing out with a 31-year history.

Stating that it is a great and important fact that many valuable artists from different countries of the world exhibit their works here, Minister Sucuoğlu said that there is no limit in culture and art and that despite the ruthless use of embargos, the embargos have not been achieved in culture and art.

Minister Sucuoğlu, “This is a job that requires a little effort and dedication. I congratulate the Near East family for raising the flag on this issue. We see that these achievements are going to increase. Currently 12 thousand works have been reached, the goal of reaching to 20 thousand artworks in the world is a first, heading towards the world championship. I wish you continued success ."

Silver Key Honor Award was presented with a Plaque of Appreciation…
Following the speeches, artists of Uzbekistan and Turkey were presented the plaques of appreciation by the Minister of Labor and Social Security Faiz Sucuoğlu.

Kazakh artist Kazym Amankossov was presented with the Silver Key Honorary Award.

Speaking after the presentation of the award, Kazakh artist Kazym Amankossov thanked Dr. Suat Günsel at the beginning of his words for his kind interest and support. Stating that they had the opportunity to touch the beautiful nature, architectural and cultural heritage of Cyprus, Amankossov said, "With this occasion, we had the chance to meet artists from different countries. We are also proud of the fact that our works will take place in the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts."

Exhibition ribbons cut...
After the plaque and award presentation, three different exhibitions were opened and were visited. Exhibitions with different ecoles and works can be seen at the Atatürk Cultural Center Exhibition Halls until 2 August 2019 between 08.00-16.00 on weekdays.
