Four solo exhibitions consisting of 109 works exclusively made for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts by Kazakh artists Bakhytbek Talkambayev, Kazhybek Baimuldin, Murat Zhetpissaliyev and Shalkar Kabdesh will be opened by Minister of Economy and Energy Hasan Taçoy.

According to the information provided by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the exhibitions of three artists will be opened at the Exhibition Hall of the Near East University Faculty of Communication at 08.30 on Thursday, November 07, 2019, and the opening ceremony of the other artist's solo painting exhibition will take place at the Irfan Günsel Congress Center at 09.30.

Who is Bakhytbek Talkambayev?
He was born on August 5, 1949, in the city of Lenger in the South Kazakhstan region. He is a member of Astana Artists Association. Between 1966-1968, he studied at the Art College named Gogol in Almaty. Between 1968-1974, he studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Moscow Red Flag Architectural Institute. Between 1978-1981, he worked in a central educational and experimental design studio called Y. A. Rozemblyum. Since 1970, he has participated in regional, local and international exhibitions. Between 1970 and 2017, he held more than 50 solo exhibitions in Kazakhstan and abroad. His artworks take place in private collections in France, Bulgaria, Norway, England, Japan and in many other countries. In 2013, he was awarded the title of State Artist of Kazakhstan for his contributions to the development of the culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2015, he was given the title of Doctor of Science and Art in accordance with the UNESCO standards.

Who is Kazhybek Baimuldin
He was born on 11 November 1946 in the city of Aksu in Pavlodar region. In 1973, he graduated from N. V. Gogol Almaty Art College. In 2013, he prepared a memorial plaque for G. Kapenov at the Pavlodar Pedagogical Institute building. In 2012, he made a three-figure sculpture composition called "The First Teacher in Pavlodar". In 2011, in the city of Pavlodar, he built a monument-bust of P. Vasiliev. In 2010, he participated in the international painting symposium “Baldauren”. He prepared a memorial plaque for G. Potanin for the local Museum of Natural History in the city of Pavlodar. In the same year, he made busts for heroes on the Soviet Union's Walk of Fame. Since 1976, he has been participating regularly in regional, local and unity exhibitions. His works take place in many private collections and museums in Russia, Ukraine, Germany, South Korea, England, America, France, Australia and China.

Who is Murat Zhetpissaliev?
He was born on September 30, 1957. In 1976, he entered A. Kasteev Art College. He graduated in 1980. He is currently working at the A. Kasteev Art College. In 2010, he participated in the exhibition of teachers of the A. Kasteev Art College in the South Kazakhstan region. On December 15, 2010,she participated in the exhibition of ‘Sui Rik’ group. On February 18, 2011, he won the 3rd place in the regional artist competition «My Country». On April 10, 2011, he was awarded "letter of appreciation" in the national art competition "Spring of Gagarin" in Kizilorda.

Who is Shalkar Kabdesh?
He was born on October 15, 1973, in Altai, China. He studied at Altay Regional Pedagogy College between 1989-1991. Between 1991-1992, he worked as a teacher at Altay High School. Between 1992-1994, he studied at Kazakh Pedagogical University. He worked at Altay Regional Pedagogy College between 1995-2001. Between 2001-2004, he studied at the University of Fine Arts Pedagogy. Between 2004-2013, he worked for Altay Regional Pedagogy College.
