Little kids experienced Museum Culture… Birikim Preschool visited Cyprus Car Museum and Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts

Accompanied with 8 teachers, 80 kids from Birikim Preschool paid a visit to the Cyprus Car Museum and Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts that situated in the Museums Zone on Near East University Campus.

According to the info released by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, Sülay Görün, the guide of Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, welcomed the teachers and the little students from Birikim Preschool and provided them with information about the museum and the works exhibited in the museum.

Kids have learned by experiencing on site both museum culture and how museums are toured...
Pointing out the importance of learning by experiencing at a younger age, Birikim Preschool Founding Director Özge Hulusiağa stated that the visit provided opportunity for kids to learn by experiencing both the museum culture and how to tour a museum. She added that the visit was very fruitful in terms of enhancing the kids' general culture of art by witnessing very distinguished artworks.

“We visited the Cyprus Car Museum with the aim of addressing the traffic issue thoroughly. When we enter the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts that located just opposite the Cyprus Car Museum, we were amazed with an inspiring magnificent view. In this sense, we would like to express our gratitude to those who contributed to launch such a magnificent museum in our country. Our country needs many museums like this in terms of general culture. In this sense, Near East University stands forefront as a pioneer university accomplishing the firsts in our country. Our kids as well as their parents are very satisfied with this visit" said she.

Having been affected by the museum, the kid drew a picture of Dr. Küçük's official car...
Underlining the significant effect of such visits on the kids, Özge Hulusiağa narrated an anecdote: "After our visit, during a class hour, we asked each kid to draw a picture. One of the kids, who had affected from the museum visit, drew a picture depicting the Austin Princess brand car that gifted to Dr Küçük as his official vehicle by Britain's Queen Elizabeth."
