The Two Personal Exhibitions Consisting of 68 Art Pieces Exclusively Prepared for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts by Artists from Russia and Uzbekistan 68 have been opened by the Member of Parliament from Lefke Aytaç Çaluda

Prepared by Uzbek Artists İbragim Valikhodjaev, Bakhtiyor Umarov and Yokub Baknazarov, and Russian Artists Kokacheva, Alla Roi, Tatiana Chervatiuk, Daria Nevedrova, Talgat Dosmanov and Luo Xi, the two personal exhibitions consisting of total of 68 artwork have been opened by the Member of Parliament from Lefke, Aytaç Çaluda.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near east University, Founding Rector of Near East University Dr. Suat İ. Günsel, Member of Parliament from Lefke Aytaç Çaluda, Vice Rector of Near East University Prof.Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, Head of Institute, Deans, Head of Departments, Academicians, artists and guests attended the opening ceremony of the exhibitions. Furthermore, it was stated that Vice Rector Prof.Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ; on behalf of Uzbek Artists Bakhtiyor Umarov; on behalf of the Russian Artists Talgat Dosmanov; and finally Lefke Member of Parliament Aytaç Çaluda each made a speech at the opening ceremony.

Prof.Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ: “Culture is generally defined as all of the material and moral accumulations of a society.”
In his speech, Vice Rector Prof.Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ stated that he developed the creativity of the art, the appreciation of the people, and the societies developed as much as the importance they attach to art. He said: “Culture is generally defined as all of the material and moral accumulations of a society. Culture and art cannot be considered separately. Understanding of art affected culture and sometimes the understanding of cultures affected the understanding of art. In fact, in some societies, art is an important factor that creates the culture of that society.”

“Very soon Günsel Art Museum will present art pieces to the pleasure of art lovers”
Prof.Dr. Şanlıdağ expressed that as the Near East University, they would always remind that art is an inspiration and continue to create opportunities to bring people together with art. He said:“As each day passes, more and more art pieces are added to the 7 museums on Near East University campus, and in fact the art pieces in these museums have exceeded 100 thousand. Through the workshops held by Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, 275 exhibitions have been opened at the exhibition halls of our university. Furthermore, the artwork at the Cyprus Museum of Modern arts have reached 21 thousand. Günsel Art Museum, a product of Günsel's contribution to art and culture, which is the first domestic and national electric car of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, will soon meet with those who are passionate about art. Giving importance to the integrity of the society, Günsel family will mediate the sharing of the cultural identity of Cyprus with the national and international art environment with the museum established. The museum, which will be opened in order to raise a future generation that loves art, will exhibit 700 valuable works of art from Cyprus and the Turkish World. In a moment, we will be opening two mixed exhibitions consisting of 68 art pieces created by Uzbek artists İbragim Valikhodjaev, Bakhtiyor Umarov and Yokub Baknazarov; and Russian artists Aleksandra Kokacheva, Alla Roi, Tatiana Chervatiuk, Daria Nevedrova, Talgat Dosmanov and Luo Xi for Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts. I would like to congratulate our artists for their contributions to the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts and hope everyone enjoys the exhibitions.”

Bakhtiyor Umarov: “Art, like gold, is slowly accumulated”
Uzbek Artist Bakhtiyor Umarov said: “I would like to start by expressing gratitude to Dr. Suat Günsel for inviting us here and giving us the opportunity to be a part of this unique and magnificent project not only on a regional basis but globally and leave our traces. The development of culture is a very important issue and you are realizing an important mission! Furthermore, we artists can share with you the creativity that we cannot show in other places and halls. We created our pieces for you in these three weeks. Of course, art, like gold, is slowly accumulated! I would like to thank everyone who was with us during the process we were here. I wish you all a long and healthy life, and also expressing my gratitude to everyone.”

Talgat Dosmanov: “You have fulfilled our dreams!”
Speaking on behalf of the Russian artists, Talgat Dosmanov said:“I would like to thank you for sharing this moment with us. We are proud and happy to be a part of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, and that our works will take place in this museum. In fact, I believe that it is a dream for every artist to have his works in the museum. We are eternally grateful to Dr. Suat Günsel for giving us the chance to realise our dreams. I hope success awaits you with every step you take.”

Aytaç Çaluda: “We are honoured and proud of GÜNSEL!”
In his speech, Member of Parliament from Lefke, Aytaç Çaluda expressed that they were living the next day of a very important evening. Furthermore, he said that they witnessed the promotion of the “Günsel” brand electric vehicle, which is named after Founding Rector of Near East University Dr Suat Günsel and that they were rather honoured and proud. In this regard, Aytaç Çaluda congratulated Dr Suat Günsel from the bottom of his heart.

Aytaç Çaluda: “The whole world saw what Turkish Cypriots could accomplish last night.”
He said: “The purpose of the promotion last night is actually more than promoting the brand of the vehicle. As mainland Turkey is the only country which officially recognises the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the main purpose was to demonstrate to the whole world what Turkish Cypriots can achieve. For this reason, I would like to congratulate Dr Suat Günsel on behalf of myself and the Turkish Cypriot people for his courageous behaviour. I believe that Günsel Brand vehicle will take place in every corner of the world in a very short time and I have no doubt that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will find a market under this brand name; and therefore, I believe that it will become the most important representation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.”

The art of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be carried further with the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts
Aytaç Çaluda further said: “We are all witnessing that Near East University is promoting the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the world in the best way as the centre of science, health and art. We are about the altogether see the works of artists who came to our country from the Turkic Republics, influenced by the hospitality, nature, and customs of our country. I believe that with the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, the art of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be carried to a further level. Once again on behalf of our people and myself, I would like to thank Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel for bringing the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts to life. I would also like to congratulate all the artists who brought their works to this museum and contributed to the art of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.”

Certificates of Gratitude were presented, ribbon cutting ceremony was held
Subequent to the speech delivered by the Member of Parliament from Lefke, Aytaç Çaluda, certificates of gratitude were presented to Uzbek artists İbragim Valikhodjaev, Bakhtiyor Umarov and Yokub Baknazarov; and Russian artists Aleksandra Kokacheva, Alla Roi, Tatiana Chervatiuk, Daria Nevedrova, Talgat Dosmanov and Luo Xi. Then, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held.

It was announced that the exhibitions will be available to visit until 28th February 2020 at 08:00-16:00 on weekdays at exhibition hall of the Near east University Faculty of Medicine.
