Kazakh Artist Orazbek Yessenbayev’s Solo Painting Exhibition titled “Appearance” exclusively held for Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts opened by Hasan Taçoy, Minister of Economy and Energy

The solo painting exhibition consisting of 50 artworks of different types (oil paintings, ballpoint pen on silk) exclusively made by Kazakh artist Orazbek Yessenbayev for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts was opened by Hasan Taçoy, Minister of Economy and Energy.Dr. Suat Günsel Gold Medal Honor Award was first time presented to the artist Orazbek Yessenbayev.

According to the information provided by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, Hasan Taçoy, the Minister of Economy and Energy, Founding Rector of Near East University, Dr. Suat İ. Günsel, vice-rectors, institute director, deans, instructors, artists, and invitees attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

At the ceremony, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, Kazakh artist Orazbek Yessenbayev and Minister of Economy and Energy Hasan Taçoy made a speech.

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ: “Kazakhstan is a country that has made significant advancements in literature, music, cinema, theater, painting, architecture, museology and other branches of art”
Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ in his opening remarks said emphasizing that Kazakhstan, which is a country that has made significant advancements in literature, music, cinema, theater, painting, architecture, museology and other branches of art, is home to many precious artists, and the Kazakh art has reached today by transforming the oldest form of Kazakh people's folklore into contemporary Kazakh art over time.

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ; “The searches on aesthetic dimensions that extend from the traces of Kazakh existence legends to contemporary Kazakh art and the reflection of this development on the styles of Kazakh painting form an important field of art. Kazakh art has developed in forms from a cosmic painting design to more concrete figurative insights, from various context of the abstract paintings, epic motifs to the most contemporary geometric projections.”

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ stating that Orazbek Yessenbayev, who does not limit himself to any genre in his works and uses various techniques in his 50 different works (oil paintings, silk ballpoint pen), said that there are 5 ballpoint pen works on silk, and 4 of these works are in the collection of Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts and one will meet with the art lovers in today's exhibition. Şanlıdağ said "In addition to this, our artist will be presented the "Gold Medal Honor Award" for the first time as the insignia of his 60th birthday and of his unique art adventure. While I sincerely congratulate him on behalf of our University, I wish you have a nice time with the artworks and pay my deepest respect to you all.”

Kazakhstan artist Orazbek Yessenbayev, in his speech that he started by saluting the protocol and the guests said; “I would like to thank you very much for coming to my exhibition that corresponds to my 60th birthday and for sharing this moment with me. I am happy to share my thoughts and feelings that I have tried to reflect in my works with you today. I also would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Suat Günsel for his full support and interest. It is a great honor for me to work with you.”

Hasan Taçoy: Near East University has discovered how to convey experience and create quality.”
Economy and Energy Minister Hasan Tacoy, also celebrating the 60th birthday of artist Orazbey Yessenbayev, who has entered his new age at the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus today, stated that they will see his artworks created with various techniques first time at the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts. Taçoy; “I have learned that there are 5 of these works created with a ballpoint pen on a silk canvas that I have just seen. These are the things that form a huge treasure here." Taçoy referred to artist Orazbek Yessenbayev's words; “There's no need for inspiration. This is done with the experience of 60 years”

Minister Taçoy; “This brings that; Near East University has discovered very well how to use and transfer experience and create quality since the day it was founded. And, it is in a race to present what he discovered as a wealth in the name of humanity, both in the artistic and scientific fields. There was also Günsel car, which we watched in this race last week proudly. Günsel’s magnificent outlook and creating such a thing in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as we have seen in the press, made a great impact especially in our neighbor and in the world. This longing is not only for the vehicle made in the Republic of Northern Cyprus. I also expressed this great development at an international conference I attended the other day. After this issue came to the agenda, I noted that people's interests really came to a much higher level towards us. Therefore, I would like to congratulate those who brought us to today and all our academicians once again, and let me to say that we are following these developments at Near East University very closely."

Taçoy; “I am honored to present the Dr. Suat Günsel Gold Medal Honor Award to be given for the first time”
Minister Taçoy, who stated that Orazbek's art life will be crowned with a medal to be presented for the first time, said; “This medal is Dr. Suat Günsel Gold Medal Honor Award. I have given many awards at this university, but for the first time, I would be honored and exited to present this award for the first time. In addition, I am longing for the date of November 15, 2020, and I will have a different peace that day. Because even seeing that richness at this university adds more and more excitement to my feelings."

After the speeches, Minister of Economy and Energy Hasan Taçoy presented Dr. Suat Günsel Gold Medal Honor Award to Kazakh artist Orazbek Yessenbayev, and then the ribbon of the exhibition was cut. The exhibition can be visited between 08.00-16.00 on weekdays until 06 March 2020 at the exhibition hall of the Faculty of Dentistry of Near East University.
