Women’s Day gift of Award-Winning Artists and Near East Artists from the Turkic World

A group exhibition on “Woman” consisting of artworks exclusively made for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts by 60 award-winning artists within the scope of 8 March International Women's Day Events is going to be opened.

According to the press information provided by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, a group exhibition titled “Woman”, consisting of the artworks of 60 award-winning artists from TRNC, Near East University and the Turkic World, is organized within the scope of 8 March International Women's Day events.

In the group exhibition, which will be held with the theme of "women" and curated by Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Vice Dean and Günsel Art Museum Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün, the works of 60 award-winning artists will be featured. The exhibition will include 90 works, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, print painting and photography, which are prepared by 60 award-winning artists from the TRNC, Near East University and Turkic World.

Exhibition curator Erdoğan Ergün made a statement regarding the exhibition; “Group exhibitions have the feature of bringing together artists working in different styles and techniques. The works in these exhibitions also give important ideas on the subject and period. We will have the opportunity to watch the works of art lovers, artists and art teachers from our country, the Turkic World.

The group exhibition which will include the faculty members of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design of Near East University as well as artists from the Faculty of Communication, Near East College and Primary School, and the award-winning artists of the Turkic World, is the 285th exhibition exclusively prepared for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.
