The artists, who attempted to depict the corona days and isolation process for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, continue to support the fight against the outbreak with painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphite, and print art. Artist Tolkunbek Esenaliyev also supported the fight against Covid-19 with his sculpture which he named "Melody".

According to the information given by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, the artist Tolkunbek Esenaliyev depicted a musician who played a musical instrument with the sculpture he named "Melody". In this composition, the musician is wearing a baggy hat and a wide-sleeved shirt with a fancy conical hat, sitting on the cloud, and a bird with wings spread next to it.

The artist said the following about his work, "Melody"; "In this work, the sculptor reveals the main theme through national identity and tradition. In front of the audience, there is a musician who plays a melody on a traditional Kyrgyz two-string bow instrument (Bristle knee). The bristle is played while sitting, the instrument is held in an upright position, and the lower part of the instrument rests on the knee. This musical instrument is famous for imitating human tones. Ethnic instruments can cause a person to have various feelings of experience.”

The artist-sculptor Tolkunbek Esenaliyev shows a musician at the moment he inspires music lovers and dives into one's thoughts, dreams and fantasies. The sculpture named Melody was presented to the art lovers by taking its place in the entrance section of the Near East University Hospital.

Who is Tolkunbek Esenaliyev?
Born on August 20, 1984, Kyrgyz artist graduated from the T.S. Sadykov National Art Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2008. He worked as a lecturer at N. Isanov State Construction, Transportation and Architecture University between 2011-2014 and as a sculpture teacher at G. Aitiev Art School between 2015-2017. In 2013, he participated in the «Manas universe» competition exhibition held in Bishkek city. In 2014, he participated in the art exhibition titled "Father always in my heart", which participated by the young artists.
