Artists are continuing to produce for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts… Artist Kateryna Ocheredko reflected the traditional Turkish Cypriot culture in various aspects in her paintings created with the monotype technique.

According to the information given by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, the artist Kateryna Ocheredko exclusively painted the artworks reflecting Turkish Cypriot culture and titled "Music on the Girne Pier", "Happy Violinists", "First Music Teacher. Whistle with Tongue", and "Happy Cypriot Women" with monotype printing technique, each in 70x100 cm. dimensions, for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.

Artist Kateryna painted a happy street musician playing the accordion musical instrument, which is included in many cultures as well as in the Cypriot culture, in the monotype technique he made with colored pencils. In her other painting, the artist depicted musicians playing the violin, another constant of the Cypriot music culture, and reflected in the happiness of the instrument they play. In her third work, the Ukrainian artist portrayed children who, as their first experience, were playing the "whistle with tongue" which is one of the traditional musical instruments of Cyprus. In her last work, which is different from the other works of the artist, she painted a Turkish Cypriot woman wearing traditional Turkish Cypriot folkloric clothing. In all of her works, the artist tries to ensure that life is always viewed from a positive perspective by painting people who give happiness and peace to them. In addition, the painter depicted the motifs and colors of Cyprus in all her works.

Who is Tetiana Ocheredko?
She was born in Kiev, Ukraine, in 1985. In 2010, she graduated from the Igor Sikorsky Graphic Faculty of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. She is a member of the National Artists Association of Ukraine. In 2012, she received scholarships given to gifted young people by the Municipality of Kyiv City for their personal creative contribution to the development of the city and their high success in social life. In 2018, the movie "Loving Vincent" was nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe Awards. In 2018, she was awarded at the exhibition titled "Engravings of the World", an engraving and sculpture exhibition held by the Greek Alzheimer's Disease and Associated Diseases Association in collaboration with the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki. In 2011, she won the "Green Wave" art competition held at the Artist Gallery in Kiev, Ukraine. In 2019, she opened her solo art exhibition "Repin's places" in Kiev. She also organized the personal engraving exhibition "Different and similar". In 2015, she opened her personal engraving exhibition "Our World" in Minsk, Belarus. In 2011, she opened her solo engraving exhibition titled "My Kiev" at the Kiev Cultural Artists Museum. She participated in exhibitions in Belarus, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Egypt, Spain and participated in the international open-air exhibition in China. Her works take place in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Egypt, Poland, Latvia, Spain, Italy, England, Germany, Australia, Egypt, USA, Greece and China.
