Andrey Orazbayev's solo exhibition titled "Map of Memories" was opened by the Minister of Tourism and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu at the University of Kyrenia Grand Library Exhibition Hall. At the opening, it was also announced that the Cyprus Archeology Museum, which will reveal the archaeological history of Cyprus, will be established in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the Near East Enterprises.

Kazakh artist Andrey Orazbayev's solo painting exhibition titled "Map of Memories", exclusively prepared for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, was opened by the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Fikri Ataoğlu, at the University of Kyrenia Grand Library. The exhibition consisting of 30 works by Andrey Orazbayev can be visited by art lovers at the University of Kyrenia Grand Library Exhibition Hall until 20 June.

At the opening of the "Map of Memories" exhibition, which is the 369th exhibition of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, an important statement was made about the museum and cultural life of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It has been announced that with the establishment of the Cyprus Archaeological Museum, which will be established in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the Near East Formation, the archaeological artifacts owned by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment will be brought to light with temporary exhibitions to be held.

The opening speech of the exhibition held at the University of Kyrenia Grand Library Exhibition Hall was made by the Rector of the University of Kyrenia Prof. Dr. Ilkay Salihoğlu. At the opening, Kazakh artist Andrey Orazbayev, Director of Museums Department of the Near East Enterprises Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul and Minister of Tourism and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu also gave speeches.

University of Kyrenia Rector Prof. Dr. Ilkay Salihoğlu reminding that Kazakh artist Andrey Orazbayev's solo painting exhibition titled “Map of Memory”, exclusively prepared for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, is the first event held at the University of Kyrenia Grand Library, Culture and Congress Center, and that they will continue to host art events that will provide hope and light to the society.

In his speech, referring to the words of the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, "A nation that does not paint, a nation that does not sculpt, a nation that does not do what technique requires, I must admit that that nation has no place on the path of progress", Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu said, “The Near East Enterprises, the fusion of technology, painting and sculpture, are continuing with all their might to bring the vision drawn by Atatürk in our beloved country, Northern Cyprus.”


Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul: “We will soon complete the establishment of the Cyprus Archaeological Museum in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment”
Director of Near East Enterprises Museums Department Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul emphasized that the exhibition titled "Map of Memories" is the 369th exhibition held by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts and said that the Near East enterprises will continue to add value to the culture and art life of the country with its museums and exhibitions.

Reminding that the island of Cyprus have hosted eastern and western civilizations throughout history, Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul said, “This land, which has hosted many western and eastern civilizations throughout history, from Egypt to Persians, from Romans to Byzantines, from Venetians to the Ottoman Empire, has a very rich cultural and artistic tradition. Today, as the Near East Enterprises, we are working to create a culture and art environment that is worthy of the heritage of this fertile land.” Stating that they will soon complete the establishment of the Cyprus Archeology Museum in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, Prof. Dr. Özkul said, "We will bring together the archaeological artifacts reflecting the history, culture and art of Cyprus, which are owned by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, with people at the Cyprus Archaeological Museum, through temporary exhibitions to be held in accordance with the protocol we will sign with our ministry."

Continuing his speech referring to Near East University Founding Rector Dr. Suat İrfan Günsel's words "Our only goal is to exist and take root in this land", Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul said, “As our teacher Dr. Suat Günsel has pointed out, we are working to guide future generations in the field of art as well as in many other fields.”

Reminding that the solo exhibition "Map of Memories", which brings together 30 valuable works of Kazakh artist Andrey Orazbayev, will be open until 20 June at the University of Kyrenia Grand Library Exhibition Hall, Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul ended his speech with the words “We invite all art lovers to our University of Kyrenia to see these unique works.”

Artist Andrey Orazbayev started his speech by saying that being creative, bringing ideas to life and participating in exhibitions is very valuable for an artist. Orazbayev, who likened the difficulties they experienced as artists on their way to produce art to a “traffic jam”, said, “Dr. Suat Günsel gave us the opportunity to go over more than the normal road, on the highway at unlimited speed. It is a great pleasure for us to go on this road. On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Suat Günsel, all members of the Günsel Family, the Near East Formation and everyone who contributed to the establishment of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.


Tourism and Environment Minister Fikri Ataoğlu: “The Near East Family has become the symbol of the TRNC”
Tourism and Environment Minister Fikri Ataoğlu started his speech by saying that the Near East Enterprises has become the symbol of the TRNC not only with the investments that shape the country's economy, but also with the productivity it has created in the field of culture and arts. Minister Ataoğlu said, “Today we are inaugurating the 369th art exhibition of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts. I believe that we will all witness that this number will reach a much greater level with the upcoming exhibitions. I would like to thank the Near East Family and the artist Andrey Orazbayev for bringing this valuable exhibition into life.”

Fikri Ataoğlu, Minister of Tourism and Environment, said that the concept of museums had been left behind in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus for many years, and said, “We have made a great breakthrough as a country in the field of museology with the museums founded by the Near East Enterprises and the museums where the Ministry of Tourism and Environment carries out restoration work.”

"We continue to work on the Cyprus Archeology Museum, which we will be opening very soon in cooperation with the Near East Enterprises," saying Minister Ataoğlu, continued his speech pointing out as follows; "As the Ministry, we are working to pave the way for this initiative and to bring our archaeological artifacts together with our people." In his speech, Minister of Tourism and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu emphasized that every step taken in the field of museology and art has the potential to make a great contribution to the country's tourism, while creating an important cultural accumulation. Minister Ataoğlu added that the Cyprus Archeology Museum also has great potential in this respect.
