40 artworks of 20 award-winning artists will be exhibited with the “Fine Arts February Exhibition”, which will be opened by President Ersin Tatar at the Near East University Hospital Exhibition Hall on June 8. The exhibition, which will bring together works of painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics and printmaking, will be the 370th exhibition held by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün: “We created our February exhibition by carrying out our artistic productions under the psychology of uncertainty and limitation created by the pandemic.”
The exhibition is curated by Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Deputy Dean and GÜNSEL Art Museum Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergun. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün said that they are happy that the exhibition they will open in February will meet with art lovers, albeit delayed due to pandemic measures. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ergün said, “We care very much that the healing and transformative power of art and the art environment is visible during the pandemic period. We have produced our artworks in our exhibition under the psychology of restriction during the pandemic period.”
