One of the solo exhibitions to be opened consists of ship models made by artist İsmail Gündoğan by shaping metal throughout magnificent handwork. The collection includes many ships, from the landing ship that took part in the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation to the Nusret Mineship that changed the course of the Dardanelles war in 1915.

Rakhat Saparalieva’s solo painting exhibition titled “Memory”, which depicts the Arpalık, Ayvasıl, Muratağa-Sandallar massacres and the Erenköy battle, which left deep traces in the memory of the Turkish Cypriot community, is among the important exhibitions of the event.

Kazakh artist Orazbek Yesenbayev’s exhibition titled “Our World” will feature 30 works he made with ballpoint pen on silk. Among the most remarkable works of the collection are “Panic” and “Gorgon Medusa”.

The “Fine Arts Republic Exhibition”, which consists of works exclusively prepared for the Republic Day Celebrations by the artist-academicians of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Near East University, is one of the richest group exhibitions. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Okur’s work named “Republic”, which depicts the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community, Dr. Fazıl Küçük and the Founding President of the TRNC Rauf Denktaş, with silkscreen printing technique, is one of the remarkable works of the collection.

The Group Sculpture Exhibition, which will bring together the works of artists from the Turkic Republics, also features remarkable sculptures. One of them is Sembigali Smagulov’s work named “World Tree”. In his work, the artist refers to the “Tree of Life”, which has a place in many cultures, especially Turkic nations. Andrey Orazbaev’s sculptures “Continuous Movement” and “Inspiration” are among the works worth seeing in the group sculpture exhibition. In “Continuous Movement”, the rotating curved branches are depicted as symbols of dynamism, enthusiasm and life. The branches in the statue symbolize the three points of departure of the sun: sunrise, zenith and sunset. The sculpture named ‘Inspiration’ symbolizes the flight of human thought and imagination.
