The Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts will bid farewell to 2023 with two exhibitions that will be opened on December 27

“Fine Arts 2023 End of Year Exhibition” organized by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts and “Dr. Suat Günsel Mosque Photography Exhibition” will be opened by the Minister of Economy and Energy, Olgun Amcaoğlu, on Wednesday, December 27, at 16.00, at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center Exhibition Hall.

The Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, which creates a strong cultural and artistic atmosphere in the country with the solo and group exhibitions it organizes as well as the thousands of works of art it presents to its visitors, is about to say goodbye to 2023 with two exhibitions. The Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, which has reached 21 exhibitions throughout the year, will present its 452nd and 453rd exhibitions to art lovers on Wednesday, December 27, at 16:00.

The exhibitions, which will be opened by the Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center Exhibition Hall, will be open to visitors until January 15, 2024.

Fine Arts 2023 End of Year Exhibition will bring together 50 works from different genres
The “Fine Arts 2023 End of Year Exhibition”, which will be opened on December 27, will bring together the works of 21 names, including artist academics of the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and artists of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts. There will be 50 works in the exhibition, which will consist of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, printmaking and stained glass works.

Winners of the Dr. Suat Günsel Mosque Photography Contest will be announced
Another of the exhibitions to be opened is Dr. Suat Günsel Mosque Photography Exhibition. The mosque will be opened to worship with a ceremony to be held on January 11. Among the 200 works that applied to the photography competition organized for the Dr. Suat Günsel Mosque, there will be 49 photographs that the competition jury finds worthy of exhibition.

As a result of the evaluation made by the jury consisting of Director of Near East Enterprises Museums Department, Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul, Dean of Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Prof. Dr. Erdal Aygenç, Deputy Dean of Near East University Faculty of Communication, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Dolunay, Turkish Cypriot Photography Association (FODER) President Ramadan Gümüşok and photographers Buket Özatay and Mustafa Evirgen, the names who are entitled to receive the achievement award, jury special award and honorable mention will be announced at the exhibition.
