Alexandr Osipov

He was born in 1959. He graduated from the Alma-Ata Art School named after Gogol. In 1985, he graduated from the Alma-Ata Theater and Art Institute, the faculty of industrial graphics and packaging. Since 1981, he has been actively participating in city, republican, all-union and international exhibitions. There is a practice in the monumental art forms. He is also the author of the monument “Victory” in the city of Priozersk (1990). From 1994 he began working in easel painting, from 2000 in easel sculpture. From 1985 to 2004 he taught at the department of industrial graphics. Alexander has developed a curriculum in composition and skill for secondary schools in the visual arts. His works are in the collections of the SRCS, the State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after A. Kasteev, and in the Museum named after the family of Nevzorovs, in Almaty; as well as in the collections of the countries from near and far abroad. He is a member of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
