Bulat Gilvanov

He was born on 6 January 1972, in the city of Yelabuga, Republic of Tatarstan. In 1997, he graduated from St. Petersburg Repin State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Since 2002, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. In 2003, he became the laureate of the award named after Baki Urmanche, of Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2007, he was the winner of the Musa Jamil State Award given by the Republic of Tatarstan . In 2016, he was awarded the medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. He is a participant of many foreign and personal exhibitions in Russia, England, France, Turkey, and Italy. The artist’s works take place in the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan; Museum of Kazan’s 1000th Anniversary and in the state art galleries of the following the cities: Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetyevsk, Zelenodolsk, Elabuga, in the ‘Turksoy’ collection, and also in many private collections in Russia, Turkey, England, etc.
