He was born in 1962 in Konya. Mahmut Durmus, who completed his undergraduate education at the Department of Art Education of Buca Faculty of Education in 1988, and then served as a printmaking specialist at Bilkent University, Faculty of Fine Arts, in 1989-1991. In 1997, he received her master’s degree from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Institute of Social Sciences. Between 1993-2004, he worked as an instructor at the Department of Painting Education of the Faculty of Education, Uludag University. In 2004, he started to work as an instructor at Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education. Durmuş, who is an academic artist who participated in many national and international group exhibitions, still continues to work for the same institution.
