Allahverdiyev was born in Baku in 1960. During 1975-1979, he completed his education at the College of Fine Arts in Baku. Then, he graduated from the Lviv National Academy of Fine Arts in 1988. In 1986, he became a Member of the International Association of Art (IAA) Europe. He began his teaching career as an Academic Memberof Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts in 1989. In1990, he was elected as a Member of the Russian and Azerbaijan Artists Union. Later in 2000, he became the Academic Member of Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts. In 2004, he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts. Currently, he is the Head of Department of Teaching Art of Faculty of Education, Near East University.
