Samir Gafarov was born in 1966, in Baku, Azerbaijan. Between the years 1981-1985, he studied at the Azim Azimzade State Fine Arts College. Between the years 1991 and 1996, he studied at the Azerbaijan University of Culture and Arts. Between the years 1998-2000, he studied at the Faculty of Business and Management of the West University. Since 1991, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan. In 1988, he was one of the organizers of “Tastig” art group. Since 1993, he has been working as an art director at the State Television of Azerbaijan. From 2001 to 2010, he worked as a designer in many companies in Azerbaijan. He has participated in many national and international exhibitions and symposiums. His works take place in private collections in Azerbaijan and abroad.
