Vedat Çolak

He was born in 1966 in Deliorman region of Bulgaria. He completed his high school and associate degree education in the same country. Being subject to the assimilation policies enforced to the Turkish minority, he emigrated to Turkey as in 1989. In 1994, he was accepted to Erciyes University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. After four years of education at this department, he graduated with a BA degree. In 1999, he started to work as an academician at the same department. He took an active role in the establishment of the serigraphy, engraving and lithography printing workshops. His paintings and original prints took place in many group exhibitions. In 2003, he became a member of the Ankara Exlibris Society. He participated in many international exlibris exhibitions in Poland, China, Bulgaria and Belarus. He is one of the leading members of the Association of Paper Artists founded in 2014. He also participated in national and international group exhibitions. He is still working as an instructor for Erciyes University, Fine Arts Faculty, Department of Painting.
