Volodymyr Yakubovskyi

He was born in 1960 in the city of Ternopil, in Ukraine. In 1976 until 1980 he studied at the Uzhgorod Institute of Arts. In 1982 he was an artist of the Uzhgorod Puppet Theater. In 2002 he became the chief artist of the Ternopil Academic Regional Actor and Puppet Theater. In 2000-2008 years he took part in a project of a joint-stock theater in Germany. Since 1995 is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 2012 he received an award for set -design in Serbia. In 2013, he received the Grand Prix for the set-design of the festival of theatrical art for children in the city of Montenegro. In 2017 he received an award named after Hypolite Tsegelsky, for his paintings, and for being a participant in the All-Polish plain-airs. In 2018 he was the winner of the All-Ukrainian Prize of Fine Arts named after Boychuk. In 2018, the honorary title “Honored Artist of Ukraine” was awarded. He is a participant of regional, national and international exhibitions. His picturesque works are exhibited in museums of Ukraine and in private collections abroad.
