Two solo painting exhibitions of Kazakh artist Gulnar Askarova and Azerbaijani artist Rafael Aliyev and two sculpture exhibitions of Kazakh sculptors Bagdat Sarsan and Zhanna Nurgerbek, all exclusively made for the project of Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, will be opened on 10 January 2020 at 08.30 by Hasan Taçoy, Minister of Economy and Energy.

According to the information provided by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, 18 artworks named "On the verge of eternity" belonging to Kazakh artist Gulnar Askarova and 23 artworks of Azerbaijani painting artist Rafael Aliyev named “My Childhood", and two separate solo sculpture exhibitions consisting of 10 sculptures of Kazakh sculpture artists Bagdat Sarsan and Zhanna Nurgerbek will be opened by the Minister of Economy and Energy Hasan Taçoy at the exhibition hall of Near East University.

Who is Azerbaijani painting artist Rafael Aliyev?
He was born on May 13, 1980 in Baku. He studied at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Art between 2003-2007. He participated in exhibitions dedicated to Youth Day between 2003-2005. In 2006, he participated in the exhibition dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Artists Union. In 2006, he won the Baku Art Competition «Germany - in the eyes of the artist in black, red and gold colors». In 2007, he participated in the Azerbaijan Silk Road Art exhibition. She was born in 1963 in Kazakhstan. In 1985, she graduated from Gogol Art College in Almaty, Kazakhstan. After college, she attended painting classes at I. Repin Art Academy in Leningrad. She is a member of the Association of Artists of Kazakhstan. She is also a participant of group and international exhibitions; she has held 7 solo exhibitions. In 2009, she organized a solo exhibition at the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2011, she participated in a group exhibition at the "Oak Park" gallery in Kyrgyzstan. In 2012, she participated in the republican autumn exhibition held in memory of the 100th anniversary of G. Aitiev at the Aitiev Kyrgyz State National Museum of Fine Arts in Kyrgyzstan. In 2005, he graduated from Kazakhstan A. Kasteev Art College. In 2019, he graduated from the T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Art. In 2016, with the support of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in St. Petersburg, she opened her solo exhibition titled "On the wings of hope" in Astana's First President Museum. In 2017, she opened a solo exhibition called “Dawn" at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana. In 2018, she participated in the Performing Arts Festival held in St.Petersburg, Russia. She participated in the art exhibition titled "Kazakhstan Statue" which was held in Almaty and dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Association of Artists of Kazakhstan. In 2015, she participated in the international wooden architecture festival "DREWOODlution" held in St. Petersburg. She participated in the international art exhibition "Human and Animal" in Moscow. In 2014, she participated in the International Art Week in Moscow. In 2012, she participated in the art exhibition “ART-Sapar" held in cities of Pavlodar, Aktobe, Semey, Kokshetav, Karaganda, Kostanay, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Aktav, Almaty and Nur-Sultan.
