Teymur Ağalıoğlu

Teymur Agalioglu was born in 1953 in Georgia. He graduated from Baku Azim Azimzade State Art School in 1976 and from Art Department of Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts in 1981. After graduation, he continued his artistic studies in Tbilisi and Moscow. In 1995, the artist moved to Turkey and opened his own workshop where he gave lessons. For five years he ran the Nefertiti Art Gallery and trained students for the exams of the fine arts faculties. In 1994, 1995 and 2003, he participated in International Plastic Arts Fair held in Istanbul. He attended Istanbul Tuyap Art Fair in 2004, 2007 and 2014. In 2005, he held his own personal exhibition at the House of Art Gallery, Holland. In 2011, one of his works was awarded with officially acclaimed work award in the Richeson 75 Small Works International Painting Competition in America, and 3 of his paintings were deemed worthy of exhibit.

In 2012, three of his artworks were exhibited in the International Painting Competition held by Agora Gallery in the USA. He held over thirty solo exhibitions and has been invited and participated in many workshops, both in Turkey and abroad. His artworks take place in the museums of Turkey Ministry of Culture, Ankara Painting and Sculpture Museum, Denizli Municipality, Alanya Museum, Malaysia, France, England, USA, Australia, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Germany, as well as in the private collections. He participated in many national and international exhibitions. He held solo exhibitions in Georgia (1987), Istanbul (1993) -Varol Art Gallery and in Ankara (1999) – Painting and Sculpture Museum.
